What we do
Regional WA Guide helps travellers plan trips to Western Australia beyond Perth. We publish guides to the Margaret River region, Albany and the Great Southern, the Avon Valley towns, the Wheatbelt and Wave Rock, the Coral Coast, Ningaloo and Exmouth, Karijini and the Pilbara, and Broome and the Kimberley, plus practical guides to distances and road safety, outback travel, seasons and national park passes. Our drive planner turns a destination into driving days, rest breaks and fuel stops.
About this domain
regionalwa.com.au was home to a regional Western Australia tourism directory in the early 2000s, with town pages, travel tips, maps and links. It later lapsed and was parked. The domain was relaunched in 2026 as an independent guide, and every page has been written from scratch. We aren't connected with any previous operator, any tourism organisation or any business with a similar name.
How we research
We base our guides on authoritative sources, including:
- Main Roads WA for road conditions, distances and road safety;
- Parks and Wildlife Service WA (DBCA) and Explore Parks WA for national parks, passes and closures;
- Tourism WA and local visitor centres for regional information;
- the Bureau of Meteorology for climate and cyclone season information;
- the Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) and Emergency WA for fire and flood warnings;
- UNESCO and heritage bodies for World Heritage areas.
We list sources on every page and show when each guide was last updated. We don't invent prices, opening hours, reviews or visitor numbers. Read our editorial policy.
Travel safely
Regional Western Australia is vast, and distances between fuel, water and help can be long. Our guides are general information. Check road conditions, park alerts and weather warnings before you travel, carry enough water and fuel, and tell someone your plans.
How we're funded
We may earn a commission from some links and from clearly labelled featured listings. This never affects what our guides say. See our editorial policy and feature your business page.
